Requirements
Admission to the program will be according to the regular university graduate admissions requirements, as well as those of the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics. Applicants should have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0, grades of 3.0 or above in science and mathematics courses, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
In general, applicants should have had the equivalent of at least one academic year each of physics, inorganic chemistry, and organic chemistry; one biochemistry course; mathematics through integral calculus; and one or more biology courses. Scores on the Graduate Record Examination General Test are required, along with a personal letter of intent and letters of reference.
