New summer program prepares freshmen

Plant ecologist to probe genetic influences on invasive plant species

Jennifer Lau, a plant evolutionary ecologist in the Department of Plant Biology, has received a four-year, $630,000 grant to explore how genetic variation in native and non-native plant species affects biological invasions. Read more about Lau’s NSF grant.

MSU and DOE take next step in establishing FRIB

MSU has signed a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy concerning the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). This allows the DOE to provide financial assistance to design and establish the new facility for probing into the heart of atoms. Read more…
