Book Chronicles CNS History
Professor Emeritus Clarence Suelter has compiled the most comprehensive history of natural science at MSU in "The History of the College of Natural Science at Michigan State University.” Released in 2008 on CD-ROM, the book is in PDF format and designed for viewing on your computer using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
Special Features
The concept of the book began in the 1990's when Dr. Suelter was exploring the family history of Robert C. Kedzie, Professor of Chemistry, 1863-1902. This led him to compile this book and to prepare an exhibit focusing on the history of natural science at the university.
The CD includes both the history book and a pictorial presentation of the history exhibit displayed in Kedzie Hall. It is his intention that the material be easily accessible, searchable and available to anyone involved with the College of Natural Science and MSU.
